Fern- 680 Square Foot Modern Tiny House Plan
Fern is a one bedroom, one and a half bath 680 square foot modern tiny home that we built as empty nesters. Perfect for a long narrow lot, it measures 58’ by 16’. We did most of the work ourselves besides the spray foam insulation. This home is an open concept design, with a living room, kitchen, dining nook, butler pantry, half bath, desk work area, bedroom with large master bath and walk in closet with washer and dryer. Fern was built using stock cabinets from IKEA and stock countertops, so no customization is needed. It cost us $62,000 in 2023 to build this home. (That does not include land). The living room can accommodate a daybed for extra guest or grand babies, in addition to the sectional.
